Our local, state and national politicians are the key decision-makers when it comes to the future of the Tarkine. They have the power to protect the Tarkine, to create a Tarkine National Park, to put the Tarkine on the National Heritage list, to properly fund the Parks & Wildlife Service, and to foster a sensitive and sustainable eco-tourism sector in North-West Tasmania. Most of our politicians want to do the right thing by our natural environment, and want to do the right thing for our kids and grand-kids - but sometimes they need a little bit of encouragement from people like you! Getting in touch with your local politician by sending them a letter, giving them a phone call, or even by paying a visit - will make a big difference. Let them know that you care about the Tarkine and you want to see it protected...
